Torrey Johnson started making pickles in Palmer, Alaska because he couldn't find any he liked. The recipe was his own — sharper, crunchier, and hotter than anything on the shelves.

Friends asked for jars. Then neighbors. Then a couple of shops. Dillicious Pickles became a business the way most good food companies do — because the food kept selling itself.

Today, everything still starts in Palmer. Torrey hand-cuts, cold-packs, and labels every batch, working through the same original recipes he wrote at his kitchen table. You'll find Dillicious at markets, retailers, and restaurants across Alaska — and once a year, at a very busy booth at the Alaska State Fair.
